An accomplished musical arranger and sound engineer, Serge Lukalu uses his music as a spiritual and cultural bridge connecting Congolese tradition with global sounds. Based in Stockholm and affiliated with STIM (Sweden), he combines vocal power with instrumental virtuosity, fusing Congolese rumba, mutwashi, African folk, Spanish guitar, and classical influences.
The Guit'Africa: To embody his cultural roots and artistic vision, Serge Lukalu designed the Guit'Africa — a custom-made guitar carved in the geographic shape of the African continent and adorned with traditional motifs.
Major Collaborations: Guitarist on international tours with Ferré Gola, performance with Shan'L at Le Trianon (Paris), and soundtrack contributor/actor in the film Rumba Royale alongside Fally Ipupa.
Residencies & Cultural Exchange: Official participant in Ethno Sweden (2025–2026) and the Ethno on the Road tour, as well as facilitator for cross-cultural music and dance workshops.
